Cocoa is an authentic French Patisserie founded in 2008 by Julien Plumart. Located on Queens Road, minutes away from Brighton Train Station it has been described as “A slice of Paris in the heart of Brighton.”
Julien is an award winning Pastry Chef trained by Raymond Blanc and everything is homemade each morning by him and his team. His speciality is a regional delicacy from Lyon called ‘Galette Au Sucre’ aka Cream Brioche – a sweet and creamy slice of heaven.
Cocoa Patisserie has become a destination for locals and visitors providing a wide selection of traditional pastries, cakes, tarts, macaroons, biscuits and jams. The intimate café provides the prefect surroundings to enjoy breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Eat in or take away, it has something for everyone.

Cocoa Patisserie is open for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea and the destination for the discerning food aficionado. Choose from delicate tartlets and pastries to sublime macaroons and stunning French mousse cakes.
Cocoa Patiserrie use only the finest ingredients to ensure your experience is authentic and memorable. The butter & flour is carefully sourced from France. Fresh fruits are always seasonal and the hazelnuts and almonds come from Spain and Italy. Vanilla pods, used for the croissant glaze and Crème anglaise are the finest from Madagascar.
Many cakes are finished with real gold, silver & bronze powder to provide that wow factor.
